Mike Clark - President
Michael H. Clark joined Clark Properties in November, 1997, to oversee the day-to-day activities of the real estate development and property management firm. Michael worked closely with his father, Harold Clark, during a transition period that would allow Harold to reduce his operational activities. Michael was named President of Clark Properties in January of 2000. As President, Michael is responsible for establishing the company's overall objectives, strategic planning and implementation and fulfilling the company's commitment to the community. Michael works closely with the managers of real estate development, property management, construction and finance on day-to-day activities.

Before joining Clark Properties, Michael was Executive Vice President and co-owner of Clayco Construction Company also headquartered in St. Louis, Missouri. During his seven years at Clayco, revenue grew from $38,000,000 to $180,000,000. Michael oversaw all aspects of the Industrial Division that specialized in the installation of heavy equipment, process systems and piping, new industrial construction and plant maintenance. The Industrial Division performed millwright, boilermaker, ironworker, pipefitter, laborer, operator and teamster trades.

Prior to his joining Clayco, Michael was the President and CEO of Hartman Walsh Corporation also located in St. Louis, Missouri. Hartman Walsh is a national industrial coatings contractor. Hartman Walsh specialized in industrial plant maintenance, the Department of Transportation's Bridge Lead Paint Abatement and Recoating, historical facility and structure renovation and specialized coatings.

Michael resides in St. Louis County, Missouri, and is active in numerous professional, civic and charitable organizations.


 

Tom Barnewolt - Vice President of Construction
Thomas G. Barnewolt joined Clark Properties in 1997 as Vice President of Construction and manages the firm's construction development efforts. His responsibilities include analysis of prospective sites, site redevelopment analysis and management of construction activities. Tom has over 22 years experience in the construction industry.

Prior to his affiliation with Clark Properties, Tom was Vice President of Operations at Clayco Construction Company, based in St. Louis, Missouri. His day-to-day responsibilities included management of the estimating department, project management and field operations. The projects included new industrial construction, plant maintenance, the installation of heavy equipment and process systems. The division self-performed the following trades: Boilermaker, Millwright, Pipefitter, Ironworker, Operator, Laborer and Teamster trades. During Tom's 12 years at Clayco, from 1985 to 1997, revenue soared from $1,500,000 to $180,000,000.

One of his most significant accomplishments at Clayco Construction Company involved the former General Motors Plant at Union Boulevard and Natural Bridge Road in St. Louis. From 1989 to 1991, Tom managed this project, one of the largest industrial re-development projects in the Midwest. The site is now the home of the Union Seventy Center Business Park, a 160-acre development with a 2.2 million square foot facility of rehabbed warehouse and office space.

Originally from California, Tom relocated to St. Louis in 1976. Since then, Tom has developed broad experience in the construction field including the commercial, industrial and redevelopment markets.


Jay Logsdon - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Logsdon is the Chief Financial Officer of Clark Properties. He is responsible for banking, insurance, accounting and tax, human resources, legal and investor relations as well as strategic financial planning for Clark Properties and individual properties.

Prior to joining Clark Properties, Jay was a business owner and previously held positions with Arthur Andersen and RubinBrown. He also was a shareholder in the local St. Louis firm formerly known as Maher, Sabino, Logsdon, Hendon and Associates, P.C.

Jay is a certified public accountant and a certified valuation analyst. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Missouri Society of Certified Public Accountants. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance and a master’s degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville.


Wayne Weidemann - Vice President
Wayne Weidemann is a Vice President of Clark Properties and a 18-year veteran with the company. He is responsible for the overall management and leasing of the Clark Properties portfolio which consists of approximately 5 million square feet of buildings and over 200 acres of land. His experience covers over 20 years and ranges from environmental issues to complex lease negotiations and build-to-suit projects.

Before joining Clark Properties, Wayne was Deputy Director and Director of Development of the St. Louis County Economic Council. He directed the activities of the St. Louis County Port Authority and the St. Louis County Land Clearance for Redevelopment Authority and managed the overall budget and staff of the Economic Council. Wayne was responsible for all real estate projects including two large, contaminated industrial sites, a small business incubator, the first County Tax Increment Finance district and a Foreign Trade Zone. He also served as Manager of Port Development for the Bi-State Development Agency prior to joining the Economic Council.

Wayne is a licensed real estate broker and holds a Bachelor and Masters degree from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, Illinois, and is active in several professional and civic organizations.
